David N. Wheelock Sr., a resident of Elephant Butte, passed away Saturday, October 20, 2001. Dave retired from PNM in 1983 after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in TorC., and was a Veteran of the US Air Force during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his eldest daughter. Marian, and is survived by his children, sons, Neal Wheelock and wife, Linda, Russell Wheelock and wife, Christi; daughter, Judy Baca and husband, Steve; grandchildren Nichole, David, Bryce, Juliette, Jordan, Francesca, Amanda, and Jessica; great-granddaughter, Annastacia; sisters, Susie Tafoya and husband, Herman, and Bobbie Wheelock; brother, Jim Wheelock; numerous friends at PNM, Albuquerque, Elephant Butte, and Sonny Klein in Las Cruces. He will be greatly missed and always remembered. Dave will be buried at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. A memorial gathering will be held at Albuquerque Bible Church on Friday, October 27, 2001 7:00 p.m. Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th ST. NW. Albuquerque. 505-343-8008.
