Pablita (Pauline) Gonzales, 96, of Clayton, NM entered eternal life March 31, 2001. Pauline was born February 24, 1905 in Bueyeros, NM to Manuel and Adelaida Archuleta, descendants of early 18th century pioneer families. She is survived by her sister, Lugardita Ezparza of Fort Smith, AK; three sons, Ernest and wife, Pat of Santa Rosa, Casimiro Gonzales and wife, Anna of Las Cruces, Richard and wife, Irene of Clayton; five daughters, Juanita Ulmer and husband, Bob of Albuquerque, Marcella Haime and husband, Harry of Las Vegas, NV, Lucia Sawyer and husband, Don of Lowell, MA, Florence Vigil and husband, Al and Tina Gonzales all of Albuquerque; 35 grandchildren; 70 great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren. She also left many nephews, nieces and friends who she was very fond of. Pauline is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters, a daughter, Isadora Armijo; three sons, Adelaido, Nick Jr. and Manuel; grandchildren, Sharon Boone, Nicholas (Scotty) Gonzales and Nick Jude Gonzales. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Clayton, NM. She married Nick Gonzales on November 24, 1927. They celebrated their 52nd anniversary with their children. Nick died September 21, 1983 in Clayton. Pauline was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend to many people. Rosary will be recited Sunday, 7:00 p.m. at The Church of the Risen Savior, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE. A second Rosary will be recited Monday, April 2, 2001, 7:00 p.m. at St. Francis Xavier Church, 115 North 1st Street, Clayton, NM. Mass of the Resurrection and burial will take place, Tuesday, April 3, 2001, 11:00 a.m. in Clayton, NM. Serving as Pallbearers will be grandchildren, Mike Armijo, Ernest Gonzales Jr., Barbara Mallak, Nicholas D. Gonzales, Gary Craine, Lucien Sawyer, Casimiro Vigil, Todd Gonzales, Elizabeth Gonzales and Melissa Gonzales Lloyd. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to St. Francis Xavier Church, 115 North 1st Street, Clayton, NM 88415. French Mortuary-Westside, 9300 Golf Course Rd. NW.
