Jessie Griego, 71, from Algodones, NM, a resident of Albuquerque since 1953, died on Monday, March 19, 2001. Mrs. Griego is survived by her husband, Jake Griego; daughter, Marie Lopez and husband, Marty of Corrales, NM; sons, Jacob"JB" Griego of Albuquerque, James Griego and wife, Laverne of Albuquerque and Steven Griego and wife, Pricilla of Mesa, AZ; beloved friend and caregiver, Teresa Chavez; five grandchildren, Erica Lopez, Jesse Griego, Celena Griego, Christopher Griego and Nathan Griego; two sisters, Mandy Chavez, Vickey Archibecque,; four brothers, Tony Lovato, Casimiro Lovato, Jr. Benny Lovato and Gabriel Marquez. She was preceded in death by her brother, Pedro Lovato and sisters, Irene Sandoval and Frances Martinez. A Rosary will be recited, on Wednesday, March 21, 2001, 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Westside Chapel. A Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, March 22, 2001, 1:00 p.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 4th & Alameda. Burial to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 7500 Paseo del Norte NE. Friends may visit on Wednesday, March 21, 2001 from 2:00p.m. 4:00p.m. at French Mortuary, Westside Chapel, 9300 Golf Course Road N.W. Pallbearers will be Gary Martinez, David Gurule, Bennie Anthony Lovato, Arthur Sandoval, Anthony Marquez and Michael Lovato. Honorary Pallbearers will be Johnny Martinez, Bobby Martinez, Alfred Sandoval, Jr., Carlos Marquez and Ralph Candelaria.
