C. R. ¯Joe¯ Cowles, 85, a resident of Albuquerque, died on Wednesday, March 21, 2001. He is survived by his daughters, Suzanne Guest and husband, Jack of Albuquerque and Sandra Rivas of Tustin, CA; grandchildren, Lynn Mergl and husband, George, Lisa Rivas, Randy Guest and wife, Cindy, Greg Rivas and wife, Dawn, Jennifer Guest, Lesley Rivas, Vicki Lease and husband, Randy and Rick Guest and wife, Tihesha; great-grandchildren, Joseph, Amber, Brandon, Caitlin, Clayton and Nicholas; sister, Norma Jean Olson of Scotts, MI; brother, Howard Cowles and wife, Juanita of Shelbyville, MI. Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Marie Cowles in 1999. He was a member of Monte Vista Christian Church since 1954 where he served as an Elder. He also belonged to the Shriners, Masons and Elk's. Services will be held Saturday, March 24, 2001 at 10:30 a.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Chapel, 7121 Wyoming NE with Dr. Fred Dorisse and Rev. Michelle Tatlock, officiating. Entombment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Friends may visit Friday, March 23, 2001 from 4:00 p.m. -7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Chapel.
