Obituary for Ruther

Laura C. Ruther, 62, resident of Reserve, passed away Monday November 5, 2001 at her home. A Prayer Vigil will be held Wednesday, November 7, 2001 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Reserve at 6:00 p.m. in the evening. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated there Thursday, November 8, at 1:00 p.m. in the afternoon with the Rite of Committal and interment to follow at the Lower Frisco Cemetery. She was born August 21, 1939 in Silver City to Ernest Cordova and Carlota Trujillo and on June 2, 1969, she married Ralph Ruther in Juarez, Mexico. Laura was a loving homemaker and store clerk as well as a member of the Catholic Church. She enjoyed crocheting and enjoyed life to the fullest with family and friends. Survivors include her husband, Ralph Ruther of the home; two sons, Jeff Ruther, Denver, CO and Guy Ruther, Superior, AZ; three daughters, Tina Marie and husband, Craig Brown, Chandler, AZ, Zana and husband, Dave Wood, Denver, CO and Missy Ruther of MO; two brothers, Ernie and Chris Cordova, Reserve; six sisters, Violet and husband, Stacey Mills, Española, Yolanda Cordova, Silver City, Dolly and husband, Vidal Baca, Reserve, Tina and husband, Joe Gonzales, Los Lunas, Zella and husband, Freddie Baldonado and Stella and husband, Efrain Quintana, both of Springerville, AZ; six grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents; and a sister, Cathy Cordova. Serving as Pallbearers will be Jeff and Guy Ruther, Dave Wood, Craig Brown, Lonnie Baca and Ernie Cordova III. Honorary bearers listed are Ernie Cordova Jr., Chris Cordova, Vidal Baca, Joe Gonzales, Stacey Mills, Freddie Baldonado and Efrain Quintana.
