Obituary for Montoya

Eloy S. Montoya, a lifelong resident of New Mexico, died on November 6, 2001 in Albuquerque where he had lived since 1955. He retired from Sandia National Labs in 1994. Mr. Montoya was an active member of the Catholic Community. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jose Montoya in 1984. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Nasaria Montoya; children, Rose McKillip and husband, Ray, Elaine Johnson and husband, Myron, Joyce Roach and husband, Gerald and Dorene Montoya and husband, Ken, all of Albuquerque; brothers, Edras Montoya, Prosgero Montoya, Perfecto Montoya, and Elias Montoya; sisters, Isabel Bernal and Ofelia Ramos; and nine grandchildren, Chris and Shawn McKillip, Kenny and Stefan Johnson, Justin and Jessica Roach, and Lori, Amanda and Nathan Montoya. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Friday, November 9, 2001 at Sandia Funeral Care with Rosary scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Friday at Prince of Peace Catholic Community, 12500 Carmel Avenue NE. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, November 10, 2001 at Prince of Peace Catholic Community with Rev. Antonio Mondragon as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tony Cordova, Eloy Tafoya, Hubert Montoya, Chris McKillip, Shawn McKillip, Kenny Johnson, Justin Roach and Stefan Johnson. Honorary Pallbearers will include Lori Montoya, Jessica Roach, Amanda Montoya and Nathan Montoya.
