Robert Andrew Ortiz (The Iceman), 43, a lifelong resident of Santa Fe, died Monday, August 13, 2001. He is survived by his life partner, Elaine C. Anaya of Santa Fe; grandmother, Carmen Alarid of Albuquerque; sister, Judy Rizek and husband, Tim of Albuquerque; brother John J. Ortiz of Dayton, OH; sister, Eleanor Olsen and husband, Chris of Sidney, NE; brother, Jerry T. Ortiz and wife, Patty of Albuquerque; sister, Roberta Ortiz of Albuquerque; Elaine's parents, Johnny and Aurelia Anaya of Santa Fe; her sister, Evelyn Anaya and lifetime partner, Frank J. Vigil of Santa Fe; and nephew, Javier Vigil of Santa Fe. Services will be held Friday, 12:00 noon, at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Chaplain Larry Wills officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. Pallbearers will be Richard Alarid, Bradley Alarid, Frank Vigil, Ronnie Estrada, Jason Rizek and Tim Rizek, Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be Pete Alarid, Johnny Anaya, Javier Vigil, Jerry Ortiz, Greg Estrada and Peter Estrada.
