Obituary for Sanchez

Frank Maes Sanchez, 59, was born in San Jose, NM to the late Frank and Rebecca Sanchez and a resident of Albuquerque passed away on April 6, 2001. Mr. Sanchez is survived by his beloved wife of 25 years, Susan D. Sanchez; the proud father of five children, Yvette Sanchez of Dallas, TX, Louie Sanchez and wife, Cassie, Denise C. Lovato and husband, Lenny, Diana Mascarenaz and husband, Joe of San Diego, CA, Frankie Sanchez Jr. and wife, Stacy of Kansas City, MO; 10 grandchildren, Frank and Michael Sanchez, Tyler and Chase Sanchez, Lenny and Lynae Lovato, Kimberly and Joseph Mascarenaz, and Kennedy and Avery Sanchez; four brothers and sisters, Al Sanchez, Della Gutierrez and husband, Selso, Loretta Ortega and husband, Rudy and Irene Pacheco and husband, Robert. Mr. Sanchez was preceded in death by his sister, Annie Forrester. He will be greatly missed. Mr. Sanchez was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church and an eight-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving during the Vietnam Era. He was a graduate of Albuquerque High School and a life member of Post 13. Frank was a dedicated 32-year employee of the Albuquerque Publishing Company. Visitation will be Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW with a Rosary to recited at 7:00 p.m. by Gabriel Nieto. Final visitaiton will be Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. until 12 p.m. in the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 817 Arno SE, with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 12 p.m. by Father Manuel Fernandez. Committal service will follow in the Santa Fe National Cemetery with full military honors AT 2:30 p.m. Pallbearers will be Lenny Lovato, Joe Mascarenaz, Rudy Ortega Sr., Rudy Ortega Jr., Bobby Sanchez and Freddie Armijo. Honorary Pallbearers will be Lenny Lovato Jr., Joe Mascarenez Jr., Dino Pacheco, Jeff Sanchez, Ryan Ortega and Rembrant Ortega. Gabaldon Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
