Obituary for Richardson

Betty Louise Richardson, aka Elizabeth Richardson, died at home of a heart attack on March 30, 2001 at the age of 66. She was born in Wausau, WI on November 5, 1934. For 33 years she was a member of the Holy Cross Sisters, a Franciscan Community based in Merrill, WI. During that time she was involved in education, teaching at all levels. She earned a Master of Arts from the University of Wisconsin. She left the Sisters in 1987, and after heading up a Quaker Peace Mission in Madison, WI she moved to Albuquerque to complete a second Master's in Art Therapy. She worked as a Hospice Chaplain and counselor, especially to women. Her life was centered around being of service to others. Multitalented, she was an accomplished organist, pianist, vocalist, poet and artist. She is survived by her siblings Jane Britt and David Richardson of Kettering, OH and Gerald Richardson of Lansing, MI, many nieces and nephews, her dogs Lal and Aussie, and her many friends. A celebration of her life will take place on April 17th at 6:00 p.m. in Santa Fe at the home of Jose and Lena Stevens. For more info please call 898-3247
