Obituary for Perea

Mr. Johnnie O. Perea, 69, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on April 6, 2001. Mr. Perea is survived by his beloved wife of fifty years, Mrs. Eluvina (Louise) Perea; three daughters, Loretta Perea, Rebecca Benavidez and husband, Martin and Cynthia Perea; two sons, Richard Perea and Charles Perea and wife Elizabeth; five sisters, Elena Moya, Beatrice Cisneros and husband Joe, Arceda McQuinn and husband, Chad, Rita Duarte and husband, Luis and Dolores Lopez; four brothers, Claudio Perea, Ben Perea and wife Elizabeth, Clovis Perea and wife, Candy and Fermin Perea and wife, Corrine; five grandchildren, Eric, Darren, Michele Perea, Martin and DeAnna Benavidez; two great grandchildren, Mia and Jordan Perea. Mr. Perea was preceded in death by his brothers, Ismael and Ted Perea. Mr. Perea was a member of the Catholic Church and a member of Carpenter's Union Local 1319."Anyone that was blessed enough to have crossed his path during his short journey in life will never forget his touch and his gentle and gracious spirit. There are no words that can express how he will be missed by so many. Heaven most certainly has gained a special angel." Visitation will be Sunday afternoon in the Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW from 2:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 3:00 p.m. by Mr. Joe Cisneros. Final visitation will be Monday morning from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be Celebrated at 9:00 a.m. by Father Manuel Viera. Interment will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Louie Duarte, Marty Perea, James Perea, Martin Benavidez, Darren Perea and Ron Cisneros. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW in charge of arrangements.
