Neola Brown Rundell, 93, passed away on January 7, 2001. She was born on November 16, 1907 in Deasonville, MS, the daughter of Hardy and Mada (Brown) Swayze. She was a charter member of Immanuel Presbyterian Church. Neola is survived by her three daughters, Mary Alice Shields, of Albuquerque; Sybl Whiteman and her husband, John , also of Albuquerque; and Linda Brown Maddux and her husband, Joseph, of San Juan, Puerto Rico; two brothers, Hardy H. Swayze, Jr and S. Hayes Swayze; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2001 at Immanuel Presbyterian Church, 114 Carlisle SE, with Reverends, Chris and Joyce Lieberman and Reverend John Wild officiating. Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors, 3113 Carlisle NE, are in charge of her arrangements.
