Obituary for Cockerell

Lucille R. Cockerell, 86, an Albuquerque resident since 1962, died Tuesday, November 20, 2001. She is survived by a daughter, Cynthia Lou Mathiasen of Coolidge, KS; son, Charles Lee Cockerell of Abiquiu, NM; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Charles McNeil of Wibaux, MT; and sister, Lee Bess Stubblefield of Albuquerque. Her husband, O. B. Cockerell, preceded her in death. Lucille and her husband, O. B., were formerly active members of the New Mexico Quarter Horse Association and were also actively involved with quarter horse racing and show horses. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held Friday, 10:30 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Chaplain Paul Gleason officiating.
