Obituary for Gallegos

Santiago "Jimmy" Gallegos, age 71, and a resident of Albuquerque for 51 years died on Friday March 2, 2001. His wife, Mary R. Gallegos of Albuquerque; one daughter, Julie Trujillo and her husband, Jerry also of Albuquerque; one son, Jimmy Jr. and his wife, Alicia of Boise, ID; and his very special grandchildren, Jeri Trujillo and Sebastian Gallegos survive Mr.Gallegos. Four sisters, Vangis Bernal of Albuquerque, Nadine Chaves of CA, Mary Lou Romero of Albuquerque, and Flora Gallegos of Albuquerque; two brothers, Eddie and Menaul Gallegos both of Albuquerque also survive him. Mr. Gallegos was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church, and Teamsters Union Local 492. A Rosary will be recited Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m. in the Palm Chapel of Strong-Thorne Mortuary 110 Coal Ave. SE. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday March 5, 2001 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Therese Catholic Church with Fr. John Plans Celebrant. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Eddie Gallegos, Manuel Gallegos, Tony Trujillo, Abe Baca, Ron Gallegos and Ismeal Garcia serving as casket bearers.
