Obituary for Vreeland

Richard J. Vreeland, 54, a resident of Albuquerque since 1988, died Thursday, September 20, 2001. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Patricia Vreeland; daughter, Jessica Vreeland; son, Chris Vreeland, all of Albuquerque; sister, Valerie Rogowski and husband, Joseph of Douglasville, GA; brother, Robert Vreeland of Albuquerque; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Vreeland served his country during the Vietnam War with the U.S. Army. He was involved in a serious automobile accident in 1976, which left him a quadriplegic. After years of therapy, Mr. Vreeland was able to attend Ramapo College where he graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. He attended Christ Lutheran Church where he was involved in Bible Studies and social activities. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held Wednesday, September 26, 2001, at 10:30 a.m., at Christ Lutheran Church, 7701 Candelaria NE, with Pastor Greg Werdin and Pastor Glen Weber officiating.
