Obituary for Etka

Helen Peugh Harding-Etka, 94, a long-time Albuquerque resident, died Thursday, September 20, 2001. She is survived by her grandsons, Michael Harding of Santa Fe, NM and David Harding and wife, Laura of Glorietta, NM; great-granddaughter, Muriah Harding of Glorietta; sister, Oella Peugh of Tennessee; nephew, Isham Peugh of Massachusetts; niece, JoAnn Niedens of Tennessee; grand-niece, Debbie Niedens of Tennessee. Mrs. Etka was a member of Monte Vista Christian Church. She was also a member of San Marcial Chapter, Order of Eastern Star and of AARP. Mrs. Etka loved baking and her fine apple pies were especially known for their goodness. She grew up in Hoisington, Kansas where she lived until moving to Albuquerque in the 1940's. Cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time. Her cremated remains will be interred in Hoisington Cemetery in Hoisington, Kansas along with her parents, Frank and Hattie Peugh.
