Obituary for Root

Helen Alice Root, age 75, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away on January 30, 2001. She passed from this life of natural causes in her sleep. Mrs. Root was born to Fred and Dolly Tenkotte in Helena, Montana on March 7, 1925. Mrs. Root was preceded in death by her brother, Bob and by her parents. She is survived by three daughters; Janalynn Paula Burnett and husband, Roger of Lincoln, CA, Gloria Jean Burch and husband, Larry of Albuquerque, NM and Leasa Helen Thompson and husband, David of Albuquerque, NM; she is also survived by eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and niece, Leni Matherly, and husband, Lee of Sparks, NV; and many other nieces and nephews. A celebration of Mrs. Root's life and a Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. at Montgomery Blvd. Church of Christ, 7201 Montgomery Blvd. NE. All are welcome.
