Obituary for Worden

Mildred Ginther Worden, 83, a resident of Albuquerque for 43 years reluctantly passed from this life on February 7, 2001. She is survived by husband, Oren; daughter and best friend, Ann Roche; sister, Evelyn Sage of Loveland, CO; aunt, Helen Scholand of Hilton, NY; and several cousins. She was born in Adams Basin, NY and graduated from the University of Rochester, Rochester, NY with a B.A. and a M.Ed. She was active in the Republican party for many years, was a Board member and Officer of the New Mexico Symphony Orchestra for six years, and for many years was a member and Board Officer of the League of Women Voters. She was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church, Women's Golf Association of Four Hills Country Club and ABCL Bridge Club. She enjoyed golf and bridge, not just for the sport, but for her many delightful partners. Cremation has taken place and a Private Burial Service will be held at Garland Rural Cemetery, Garland, NY.
