Obituary for Silversmith

Mr. Sammy T. Silversmith, 77, a resident of Albuquerque for 31 years coming from Crown Point, N.M. passed away peacefully at home in the arms of his loving family on February 7, 2001. Mr. Silversmith is the beloved husband of 51 years to Mrs. Betty Silversmith. He is also survived by five daughters, Claudine Sarracino and husband, Ralph D., Ernestine S. Hogue and husband, Sam R., Anna L. Silversmith, Veronica M. Silversmith and Rosella A. Silversmith; two sisters, Rosita Augustine and Pahe Harrison; eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Silversmith is a Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp, 4th division and was a Navajo Code Talker in WW II. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel with visitation after 9:00 a.m. Harry Beare, officiating. Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 12:30 p.m. Pallbearers will be Matthew A. Silversmith, Jonathan J. Silversmith, Andren D. Charley, Gabriel A. Hogue, Jerrich P. Hogue and Ralph D. Sarracino. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Rd. SW in charge of the arrangements.
