Obituary for Amberg

Marjorie D. Amberg, 81, a resident of Albuquerque, died on Thursday, January 25, 2001 after a long and difficult illness. She was born Marjorie Alice Dewey on October 13, 1919 in Monroe, MI to Pearl and Benjamin Dewey. In 1941, she married Detroit businessman, Robert S. Amberg.They raised four children in Detroit and Birmingham, MI where they lived until Robert's death in 1995 when Marge relocated to Albuquerque to live with her daughter and granddaughter. She was a lifetime member of the Christ Child Society, the Junior Group of Goodwill Industries and the D.A.R. Marge was always surrounded by a circle of close, loving friends and family. She is survived by her daughters, Nancy A. Graham and husband, Dean of Petoskey, MI and Joan K. Amberg of Albuquerque; sons, Robert S. Amberg, Jr. of Kalamazoo, MI and Richard P. Amberg of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Wendy Camilleri and husband, David, E.C. Wise, Emily Johnson, Amber Vilas, Dakota Amberg Morillo and great grandchildren, Christina, Kathryn, Michael and John Camilleri. Also survived by her sister-in-law Blanche Amberg Fitzpatrick and nephew, Tom Amberg Fitzpatrick and wife, Anne all of Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by her only sister Kathryn Dewey. Memorial Services will be held in Birmingham, MI at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Cremation has already taken place.
