Obituary for Sanchez

"Susie" Sanchez passed away Saturday March 22nd at a local nursing home. She preceded in death by her parents, Luis and Sara Sanchez; Brother Juan C. Sanchez; and sister Taida Garcia. Survived by Henry and Gloria Sanchez, Waldo and Marie Elaine Sanchez, and Tony Sanchez, and many loving nieces and nephews. Susie's early jobs included an elevator operator and the Knickerbocker¯Hotel in Hollywood, California, and a riveter with Lockheed-Martin. She retired from Woolworth in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and was a Foster Grandparent with the Mariposa Head Start Program for 20 years. She was born and raised in Martineztown and was a life-long member of San Ignacio Church. Susie loved to gamble and play bingo and lived a strong happy life. The family would like to thank all the wonderful people who took such good care of her and loved her like a"Grandma" at Valle Norte Nursing Home. Services times are pending and will be announced by the Salazar and Sons Mortuary.
