Obituary for Boulden

Altus R."Lucky" Boulden, 74, a lifelong resident of New Mexico, died Wednesday, March 19, 2003. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Babe Ann Boulden of Datil, NM; daughters, Mary Annette Boulden of Datil and Louise Alice Burns of Denver, CO; son, Donald Alan Boulden of Las Vegas, NM; granddaughters, Melissa Lee Hatten and husband, Ben of Georgia and Amber Dawn Burns of Denver, CO; great-grandchildren, Sapphire Storm Trujillo and Goliath Amory Trujillo, both of Antonita, CO and Dixie Sky Hatten of Georgia; sister, Myrtle Mullen and husband, Kenneth of Phoenix; and brothers, Louis F. Boulden and wife, Jan of Porter, TX, Arthur L. Boulden of Orange, TX and Leroy Boulden of Texas. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Rocky Allen Burns; brothers, Chester Allen Boulden and Earl Elbert Boulden; and baby sister Mary Ruth Boulden. Altus was raised in Artesia, New Mexico. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII in Italy. Altus retired from General Electric Major Appliance in Albuquerque and moved to his retirement ranch in Datil. He had served on the Board of Directors of the Los Lunas Christian Church prior to moving to Datil, where he served as an intermittent lay minister. Altus was a gospel singer who played the guitar and who composed his own songs. Services will be held Monday, March 24, 12:00 noon, at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, with Jack Havens, Minister and Pastor Harold Jenkerson officiating. Interment will be at 3:00 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Donald Alan Boulden, Louis F. Boulden and Arthur L. Boulden.
