Obituary for Arnold

Cecil B. Arnold, 83, a resident of Albuquerque, since 1968, died Thursday, March 13, 2003. An Infantry Captain in WWII, Cecil later owned and operated a successful automotive business in Santa Rosa, NM. While in Santa Rosa, He was an active member and served as president of the Chamber of Commerce. In 1968, he moved to Albuquerque. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Cleo Gallegos Arnold; his brothers; Alvin and wife, Shirley of Waco, Texas, and Kenneth and his wife, Nancy; and a sister, LuJeune and husband, Herb Adcock of Iowa Park, Texas; six children, Victor and Nancy Arnold of Las Cruces, NM, Jim and wife, Tobie Arnold of Mocksville, NC, Dennis and wife, Joy Arnold, Joyce and husband, Bill Butler, Mark Arnold and Jean and husband, Chuck Villamarin, all of Albuquerque; 17 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren (six living and one deceased). Cecil, an avid golfer was also a man of wisdom and great integrity. He was a long-time member of Risen Savior Catholic Church. A Rosary will be recited at French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming NE at 5:00 p.m., Sunday. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday at Risen Savior Catholic Community at 10:00 a.m. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, that donations in memory of Cecil be made to Casa Angelica, 5629 Isleta SW, Albuquerque, NM.
