Michael Zane Morphew, born July 11, 1942 in Albuquerque, NM left this world Sunday morning March 9, 2003 at his daughter's home. Mike graduated from Valley H S. in 1960. His favorite years were spent in the Marine Corps from 1960-64 where he was trained in radio telegraph operations as an artillery spotter and traveled the world. He was honorably discharged Corporal E-4 in 1966. He graduated from the Drafting Technology program at TVI in 1970 and with a Bachelor of University Studies from UNM in 1977. For most of his career he was a civil draftsman. Upon his diagnosis of lung cancer he had been employed with Bohannan - Huston Inc. for 12 years. To everyone at BHI, thank you for your thoughts and prayers. I'm sorry there wasn't more contact. Dad was very stoic and private and didn't want to be fussed over. His ashes will be scattered in the Pecos mountains to roam with Dicky and the rest of the Zummach clan. I love you dad. I'm going to miss my movie buddy. A Memorial Service for Michael will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Sunrise Funeral Options with Pastor Rick Donaho as officiant.
