Obituary for Giron

Dolores E. Giron, 88, a resident of Albuquerque for over 50 years, went to her final rest on Monday, March 10, 2003 after a long illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Giron; daughter, Evelyn; her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Julian J. Cordova; two brothers, Pascual and Julian Cordova. Dolores is survived by her grandson, Randel Markey; granddaughter, Elaine D. Grienfinger; sister-in-law, Mary Giron of Polvadera, NM; sisters, Fannie Maestas of Bernalillo, Carmelita Aragon and husband Pablo; brothers, Emilio S. Cordova and wife, Pablita of Cuba, NM, Joe M. Cordova and wife Susan, Paul Cordova and wife, Bea of Albuquerque and Onofre Cordova and wife, Marty of Oklahoma; and many nieces and nephews. She was born on December 30, 1914 in Cuba, NM. Dolores graduated from Menaul High School and the University of New Mexico. She was an educator in several schools in New Mexico. Dolores was a former member of Second Presbyterian Church and was a current member of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church. Services will be held Thursday, 10:30 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, with Rev. Frank Yates and Rev. Jaime O. Quinones officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. Pallbearers will be Ernest Cordova, Randel Markey, Victor Cordova, Robert Vigil, Leonard Aragon and Frank Maestas.
