Madeline M. Long, 83, a resident of Albuquerque since 1963, passed away on February 13, 2003. She was a graduate of Ottumwa High School in Ottumwa, Iowa. Madeline worked as a secretary for the Iowa Farm Bureau President and also was employed by PNM from 1965-1982, retiring as Executive Secretary for the then President, Jerry Geist in 1982. She was active in the National Secretary Association in Iowa and New Mexico, serving as Vice President and President of the Albuquerque Chapter, in 1968 she was President of the New Mexico Division and in 1969, she was Secretary of the Year for the NSA. Madeline was a resident of La Vida Llena since July of 1997. At her request there will be no services. Interment of cremated remains will take place in Sigourney, Iowa.
