James Allison Vaughn, 77, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on February 3, 2003. He is survived by his wife, Marie Vaughn of Albuquerque; son, Dr. Stephen Vaughn and wife, Deborah of Albuquerque; grandson, Christopher Andrew Vaughn of Albuquerque; brothers, Dale Alton Vaughn of Spur, TX and Everett Andrew Vaughn of Enid, OK. James is preceded in death by his parents, Osmar Andrew and Ruby Hester Vaughn; his sister, Veeda Beryl Fowler of Sanford, CO. Mr. Vaughn was an Electrical Engineer. He retired in 1991 after 40 years of service from, EG&G, Inc. and was also a former employee of REECO at the Nevada Test Site and the Pacific. James was a resident of Albuquerque for one year, previously living in Boston, MA. Service will take place on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at French Mortuary Westside Chapel with Reverend Happy Shaw, officiating. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 7500 Paseo del Norte NE. Friends may visit French Mortuary Westside Chapel on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. French Mortuary 9300 Golf Course Rd. NW 897-0300
