Charles Peters Yerkes Charles Yerkes died on January 22, 2003. Born May 30, 1920, Charles is survived by his sons, Chris Yerkes and wife, Kitty and children Kelly and Charles, and Craig yerkes and wife, Jun and Daughter Ting. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin and the University of Chicago in engineering, Charles was a dedicated family man having raised more children than his own. he actively contributed to each community he lived in, championing the causes of the arts, education and community service. His business career, in upper management, spanned decades and is considered instrumental in the advancement of data storage and information technologies. His private consulting firm advised companies such as Kodak and 3M, among others. After battling years of chronic illness and the recent loss of his spouse, Charles has found peace being reunited with Voni. A true gentleman, he will be missed.
