Joseph Dennis Zitkus, Sr., 65, of Rio Rancho, passed away on January 18, 2003, after a lengthy illness. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Joan; daughters, Linda, Joanne, and Danielle; son, Joseph and wife, Julie; mother, Alice Zitkus; and sister, Elaine Robinson. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph John Zitkus. He was employed by American Furniture Co. and enjoyed golf, hunting, and spending time with his family. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 25, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Rio Rancho. Interment will follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, 5800 Lomas Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110.
