Emilia Saiz, age 91, a resident of Alameda passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2003. Emilia was a parishioner of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, ceramics and best of all, spending time with her family. Emilia was preceded in death by her husband Jose I. Saiz in 1984. She is survived by three sons, Alex Saiz and wife Barbara, Benny Saiz and wife Connie and Joe Saiz and wife Lupe; 11 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and by those who knew and loved her. Visitations will be Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary, where a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Final viewing will be Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. in the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 9:00 a.m. at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
