Obituary for Kraus

Mary Margaret Kraus, 94, of Albuquerque, passed away Sunday, January 12, 2003. She was born and raised in Vernon Center, MN and moved to Albuquerque in 1950. Mary has many fond memories of growing up in Vernon Center, as expressed in her journal of memoirs, which she wrote for her nieces and nephews. She also spent many happy and adventurous years in Albuquerque. Mary enjoyed discussing and debating politics with family and friends, and was an avid Lobo Basketball Fan. She was a librarian for the Veterans Administration for 23 years. Mary was a member of the Newman Center, past member of A.L.A., N.L.A., N.M.L.A., S.W.L.A. and G.A.L.A. She is survived by her sister, Dora K. McGrath; nephew, Charlie Kraus and David Kraus; niece, Betsey Linsert; great-nephew, Michael Kraus; and numerous other great nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Charles and Edwin Kraus. Cremation has taken place and a memorial mass will be celebrated Friday, 10:00 a.m., at the Newman Center, 1815 Las Lomas NE. French Mortuary 1111 University Blvd. NE 843-6333
