Obituary for Matson

Mable Matson, 82, died Wednesday, January 8, 2003. She is survived by her husband, Ellis; her daughter, Kathleen; son, Keith and wife, Kerry; two granddaughters, Ryan Matson and Shelby Matson. She is also survived by three sisters; and a brother living in Knoxville, TN where she grew up, as well as a sister-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mable came to Albuquerque in 1946 as a war bride and has happily made her home here ever since she was a housewife for many years. She then helped her husband run his plumbing company from 1975-1986. After retirement, they traveled extensively on several cruises exploring many parts of the world. These were especially fond memories for Mable. She also enjoyed square dancing for over 40 years while her husband, Ellis was a caller. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 13, 2003 in the Chapel at Central United Methodist Church, 1615 Copper Ave., NE, with Dr. Charles Crutchfield, officiating.
