D.E."Huck" Hoffman, 72, of Sierra Vista, AZ. Passed away Friday, January 3, 2003. Born November 21, l930, Keyser, West Virginia, he was the son of John D. and Frances Fromhart Hoffman. He attended Albuquerque High and the University of New Mexico. He grew up in Albuquerque, and served in the U.S. Navy from l951 to l955 aboard the LST 1156. He was a member of Temple Lodge 6 Master Mason 32nd degree Scottish Rite and Ballut Abyad Shirner. Retired owner and operator of Duke City Auto Supply in Albuquerque, Hoffman Enterprises in Webster, NC and other business ventures. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Hilda Hoffman of Sierra Vista; daughters, Brenda G. Hoffman, Albuquerque, NM, Susan K Hoffman, Webster, NC; grandchildren, Joshua T. Paiz and Rhonda S. Paiz, Webster, NC; and great-grandchildren, Jacobe Wade and Carrie Beth Phillips. Services at graveside will be held Friday, January 10, 2003, 1:30 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Park in Albuquerque, NM. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made in Huck's name to AIRES Developmental Disability Day Program, 362 E. Wilcox Dr., Sierra Vista, AZ 85635.
