Della Mae Gibbs, 68, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away January 5, 2003. She is survived by her children, Mavis Gaskin-Dorrell of Rio Rancho, NM; Phillip Gibbs and Robert Gibbs, both of Cuero, TX; Lula Gibbs, Donna Lemons, Zina Gibbs, Felix Gibbs, all of Albuquerque, Joelene Jones of Phoenix, AZ, and Faedra Johnson of Carlsbad, NM; 20 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and her stepfather, Rev. J.M. Lewis and wife, Sis. Virgie Lewis of Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lula Lewis and her son, Joseph Gibbs Jr. Visitation for Della will be Thursday, January 9, 2002, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 10, 2002, 11:00 a.m., at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, 1509 Edith Blvd. SE. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Park, 700 Yale SE.
