Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Wednesday January 01, 2003

Frank E. Foster, April 24, 1938 - December 30, 2002. Frank died Monday, December 30, 2002, at the age of 64. Frank is survived by his wife of 44 years, Glynes Pulliam Foster of Albuquerque, NM; his son, Doug Foster of Lubbock, TX; and his daughter, Sherri Johnson of Levelland, TX. Frank, a lifetime resident of New Mexico, grew up north of Clovis in the Rosedale community and graduated from Rosedale High School in 1956 and from Eastern New Mexico University with a Bachelor of Science in Education in 1963. He and Glynes were married in December of 1958 and lived in Clovis where they started their family. Upon graduating from ENMU, Frank and his family moved to Aztec where he taught school. Las Vegas, NM was home to the Fosters from 1967 to 1970. It was at this time that Frank taught at the Job Corps, was a sales rep. for Loomix, and took care of ranch land east of Las Vegas. The Fosters moved to Chama in 1970 where Frank briefly taught school. While in Chama, Frank also worked for the Chama Land and Cattle Company, operated and ran an auto repair shop as well as a guiding and outfitting service, farmed north of Clovis, ran custom harvesting crews, and owned and operated the Waterhole Saloon near Dulce. In 1991, Frank and Glynes moved to Albuquerque. Frank worked first at Charlie's Sporting Goods and then for the past seven years as a sales consultant for Snipes Trailer Sales. An avid outdoorsman and horseman, Frank enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, ranching, and numerous other outdoor activities. Frank was able to call several New Mexico cities home, but he truly believed that home was where his wife and children were. Family, friends, hard work, and living by the golden rule were priorities in which Frank took pride. No formal services will be held. His many friends and relatives are welcome to pay their respects to the family at the family home on Friday, January 3, 2003, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM. The family requests no flowers or memorials.
