Obituary for Woodard

William K. Woodard, III (Bill), passed away at home on February 7, 2003 after a long illness. Bill was born March 1, 1944 in Boston, MA, graduated from Valley High School in 1962, Colorado College in 1966 and served as an officer in the Navy in Vietnam. He taught in San Antonio, TX and at Sandia Prep, and served as a counselor for Presbyterian Hospice for 11 years. He was active in the equestrian community most of his life. He had a passion for country western music and was a member of the Bunkhouse Band. Bill touched many lives and will be sorely missed. Bill is survived by his wife, Cecilia Mares; sons, Ben, Tim and Mark of Albuquerque, Kurt of Cincinnati; parents, William K. Woodard and Jane Woodard; sister, Jane Riccobene; brothers, Steven and Reg; and his nephews and nieces. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church, 601 Montano Road, NW on Thursday, February 27, 2003 at 4:00 p.m.
