Robert L. Madrid Jr. (Porky), 36, went home to be with the Lord on February 17, 2003. He was born on March 14, 1966 in Albuquerque, NM. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Madrid Sr. Robert is survived by his mother, Angel Martinez and step-father, Tom Beard; fiancé, Audra Garcia; children, Sarah Sanchez, Melissa Madrid and Robert Madrid III; brothers, Mark Martinez and wife, Athena and Michael Martinez and daughter, Janelle; sister, Ericka Martinez Beard; nieces and nephews Andres Bazan, Felisha and Janelle Martinez, Angel Martinez, Heaven Morris, Isaac, Maria and Vicki Candelaria and Andrew, Brandy, Chantel and Christopher Shock; and brother-in-law, Andrew Garcia. Robert will be deeply missed by his loving family. Visitations will be held on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Eighth Street Chapel of Garcia Mortuary with a rosary to be recited following at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday morning at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Thomas Morris, Rick Sanchez, Johnny Sanchez, Joseph Cordova, Patricio Gonzalez and Anthony Morris.
