Mr. Eddie A. (Lanas) Chavez, 70, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on February 26, 2003. Mr. Chavez is survived by one daughter, Victoria Chavez-Rascon and husband Johnny; three sons, Edward Chavez and wife, Maxine, Anthony Chavez and wife Elaine, Leroy Chavez and wife Debbie; three sisters, Bessie Armijo, Eluvina Perea, Julia Chacon and husband, Richard; two brothers, Ray Chavez and wife Rachel, Tony Chavez and wife Theresa; 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Mr. Chavez was a member of the Catholic Church and a Veteran of the U. S. Air Force serving during Peace Time. A visitation for Mr. Chavez will be Thursday evening from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Rd. SW with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A final Visitation will be Saturday morning from 9:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal SW with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. by Father Daniel Balizan.
