Rose Marie Schmidly passed away peacefully at her home in Albuquerque Tuesday, February 25, 2003. Rose was born October 20, 1927 in Brownwood, TX and grew up in Fort Worth, where she married James Schmidly Jr. in 1946. She has been a resident of New Mexico since 1969. She was preceded by her husband in death and is survived by son, James Schmidly III and wife Dawn; daughter, Kristy Fink and husband Charles; daughter, Claudia Broadwater and husband David, all of Albuquerque; granddaughters, Tammy Elkins and husband Jerry of Portland, OR, Bonnie Fink of Seattle, WA, and Jennifer Sanchez and husband Ricky of Albuquerque; great-grandchildren, Taylor and Rhiannon Elkins. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 1st, 1:30 p.m., at Southwest Heights Church, 9800 Benavides Rd. SW.
