Freda Gilbert Sloan a resident of Albuquerque for 40 years died Friday, February 28, 2003. She is survived by her husband Ted Sloan of Albuquerque, two daughters, Susan of Dallas and Jo of Albuquerque; grandson, Wesley of Albuquerque, beloved niece, Freddie Gaunt of Darbyshire, England. Freda was born in Manchester, England and she came to the United States in 1946 to marry Ted whom she had met during World War II. Married for 56 years, Ted and Freda lived a life in the military, living all over the world. Freda's family and friends will miss her style, beauty, grace and dignity. Most of all, will miss her love. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Drs. Amy Townover, Bill Bell and James Houle for many years of concern and care during Freda's long battle with cancer.
