Cecilia R. Gonzales, 74, a resident of Albuquerque for 55 years, died Monday, March 3, 2003, after a long and courageous battle with COPD. She is survived by her son, Martin Gonzales of Albuquerque; daughters, Catherine Gonzales and Roberta Gonzales, both of Albuquerque; granddogs, Bailee and Samantha; and sister, Sylvia Narvaiz and husband, Louis of Edgewood; and brothers, Adrian, Henry and Ralph Rivera. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Gonzales and sister, Victoria Poteat. Cremation has taken place and memorial rosary will be recited Thursday, March 6, 2003, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel. Memorial mass will be celebrated Friday, March 7, 2003, 10:00 a.m., at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 5310 Claremont Ave NE. Interment will take place at 1:00 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery. The family would like to express their gratitude to the doctors and staff at Southwest Pulmonary Associates.
