Obituary for Elliott

George Earl Elliott, 88, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2003, after a protracted convalescence in The Health Center in La Vida Llena. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Beth; and their daughter, Susan, who resides in Seattle, WA. He is also survived by one brother, Donald and wife, Bonnie; one sister, Dorothy, all of San Angelo, TX; and many nieces and nephews, who will miss him dearly. Mr. Elliott was born May 13, 1914 in Tyler, TX. His parents were George and Lula Mae Elliott, now deceased. He served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII. He and Beth moved to Albuquerque in 1950, where he was employed by the F.A.A, retiring in 1972. Mr. Elliott was a skilled pilot who flew professionally and served as an instructor for prospective pilots for many years at Seven-Bar Airport. He was a charter member of St. Johns United Methodist Church since 1951. Mr. Elliott enjoyed golfing and was a member of New Mexico Senior Golf Association. He was a true and generous friend to all who knew him. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, March 8, 2003, at 2:30 p.m., in the Chapel at La Vida Llena Lifecare Retirement Community, with Rev.
