Julie K. Telfer, age 31, died in her home, after a long battle with cancer, Wednesday March 4, 2003. She is survived by her husband, Christopher Scott Telfer of Albuquerque; mother, Ruth Ann Gorko of Albuquerque; father, Donald Ellis Fawthrop of Florida; brothers, Donald Allister Fawthrop and David Israel Fawthrop both of Texas, Peter Joshua Fawthrop of Albuquerque; sister, Christy Paulyn Gorko; brother, Michael Brandon Gorko; stepfather, Charles Stephen Gorko all of Albuquerque; mother-in-law, F. Kay Lightner; and sister-in-law, Kimberly Kay Telfer. Julie earned her degree in English from Colorado Christian University. She was involved in Drama, Theatre and had done some acting professionally. Julie was a counselor / teacher at Camp Pattersonville in New York in her early adult years. Services will be held Saturday March 8, 2003 11:00 a.m. at Hope Evangelical Free Church, 4710 Juan Tabo NE. Burial will take place in Rotterdam, New York at Viewland Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Camp Pattersonville, c/o David Pearson, 1154 Highland Park Road, Niskayuna, NY 12309-5410. .
