Obituary for Lujan

Christina Lujan-Bonds, 60, a lifelong resident of New Mexico, passed away on March 15 after an eight-year battle with leukemia. She worked for thirty years with the Department of Energy's and was a Program Analyst with the Transportation Safeguards Division when she retired in 1996. For many years she attended and served as a volunteer with Sangre De Cristo Catholic Church and was a secertary with the Parish. Born in Torreon she moved to Albuquerque after graduating from high school in the early 1960's. Her husband, Chuck Bonds; and son, Charles; her sisters, Andrea Lujan, Berlinda Lujan, Mary Chavez and brother, Raymond Lujan; and his wife, Flora form Albuquerque; and sister, Jenny Valdez form Santa Fe survive her. Her loving family also include Lee Roy and Lucille Bonda from Hobbs; her mother and father-in-law; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ruben and Lillian Baca form Albuquerque, Lee and Jan Bonds form Hesperia, Ca, Glenda and Ken Vestal form Odonnell, TX. and Sue and Pat Moran form Wichita Falls, TX. Christina is preceded in death by her brothers, Alfonso and Leon Lujan; and sisters, Lucille Baca and Carman Lujan of Albuquerque. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 18, 2003 at Sangre de Cristo Church, 8901 Candelaria NE. Arrrangements by Salazar & Sons Mortuary 400 3rd St. SW.
