Virginia Anderson, 75, a resident of Los Lunas, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, March 15, 2003. She was a member of the San Clemente Catholic Church, Alter Society, PTA of Los Lunas, and the Valencia County Extension Club. She worked at the Los Lunas Hospital and Training School as a secretary for many years. Virginia enjoyed her many friendships made while participating in the activities at the Los Lunas Senior Citizens Center. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years, James"Jim" in 2000; her son, Philip Eamon in 1958; parents, Ralph and Tillie Bocell; and her two brothers, Stanley and Gilbert Bocell. She is survived by her eight children, Catherine Anderson of Albuquerque; Stephen Anderson and his wife, Linda of Woodland Park, CO; Helen Anderson of Anton Chico, NM; Maurine Davis and her husband, Michael of Rio Rancho; Loraine Sanchez and her husband, Donald of Los Lunas; Paul S. Anderson and his wife, Wanda of Albuquerque, Mary Anderson of Albuquerque; and Dolores Yarosz and her husband, Ted of Troy, TX; 13 loving grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews."Sister" is also survived by her brother, Robert Bocell of TX. A viewing will be held at Romero Funeral Home on Monday, March 17, 2003 at 5:30pm followed by a Rosary at 6:00pm. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 18, 2003 at the San Clemente Catholic Church at 10:00am with interment following at the Los Lentes Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Andrea and Estevan Sanchez, Amanda, Michael Paul, and Corey Davis, Jacy Morey, Eric Anderson and Adam Anderson. Virginia's family would like to thank her special friends, Laura and Cynthia, for their compassionate friendship and also to the Presbyterian Hospice for their loving care towards her.
