Obituary for Edwards

John H. E. Edwards, O.Praem., Norbertine Oblate, 64, a resident of Albuquerque, NM passed away on March 17, 2003 in Albuquerque. He is survived by his sister, Jill Bassett and husband Jim; nephew; Duncan Bassett; and niece, Mary Bassett all of England and by his Norbertine Brothers in New Mexico. A man of deep faith who in recent years was nourished by his Small Faith Sharing Community and his life among his Norbertine Brothers. He was a dedicated R.N. and served patients in Chicago and Albuquerque. He was a man of multiple interests including, aviation, acrylic painting, photography, computer graphics, and had a wide variety of music interests (playing the organ, synthesizer and piano). Vespers will by celebrated at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 20, 2003 at Santa Maria de la Vid Priory Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 4:00 p.m. Friday, March 21, 2003 at Santa Maria de la Vid Priory Church with Father Joel Garner presiding. Interment will follow at the Priory Cemetery. Pallbearers will be the members of the Norbertine Community. John asked that this poem be part of his obituary.
