Obituary for Tingley

Carolyn S. Tingley, 82, a resident of Albuquerque since 1950, died Wednesday, March 26, 2003. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Cedric O. Tingley of Albuquerque; daughter, Deni Massey and husband, Don; sons, Greg Tingley and wife, Patty and Jeff Tingley; daughters, Marcy Kasten and Daryl Luthy and husband, Jeff; son, Brad Tingley, all of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Kristi and Bryan Quaglia, Jody and Al Dowdy, Whitney and Bill Jacobi, Kylee Tingley, Lacey and Jeremy Roach, Rick and Ronda Tingley, Kimberly Duran, Jef Tingley, Kasey Kasten, Steven and Scott Luthy and Rodney Massey; great-grandchildren, Madison and Morgan Coleman, Ston Quaglia, Austin Dowdy, Ebin Roach, Robert and Reatta Tingley, and Jacquie Duran. For over 40 years, she was an active member of Beta Sigma Phi, currently with Upsilon Master Chapter. Mrs. Tingley was a member of First Congregational Church since 1954. She was also an active member of the Lew Wallace Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a direct ancestor of Roger Williams, founder of Rhode Island, where Carolyn was born and raised. Mrs. Tingley helped with Project Share making food for the homeless. She helped with Beta Sigma Phi found All Faith's Receiving Home. Mrs. Tingley was voter registrar and judge for elections. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held Saturday, March 29, 2003, 11:00 a.m., at First Congregational Church, 2801 Lomas Blvd. NE, with Rev. Francis Rath officiating.
