Obituary for Jackson

Leslie Ray Jackson, a loving husband, father, son and grandfather, was born December 20, 1939 in Alamogordo, NM. He was a resident of Albuquerque, NM. since 1968 and passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2003. Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by his father, Ell Dee Jackson; his grandparents, H.I. and Annie Cook and John and Mattie Jackson. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 34 years, Rosita C. Jackson; mother, Coma Jackson; daughter, Theresa Cordova and husband, John; sons, Joseph Jackson and wife, Caroline, Matthew Jackson and wife, Sandy; grandchildren, Felicia, Julian, Jeremy, Nikki and John and great grandchildren, Valerie and Ayana; and his brother, Harris Dee Jackson and wife, Sandy. He was an draftsman by trade and worked for the County of Bernalillo and the Middle Rio Grande Conservancy District, where he retired from in 1992. Before his illness, he was active and enjoyed outdoors, yard work and keeping busy. A Rosary will be recited at Holy Family Catholic Church, 550 Atrisco SW on Sunday, March 30, 2003 at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church on Monday, March 31, 2003 at 9:00 a.m. followed by interment at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Pallbearers will be Roger Archuleta, Charles Neal, David Martinez, Jr., Jimmy Livingston, Fred Livingston and Michael Montoya. Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th ST. NW 505-343-8008.
