Obituary for Fulmer

Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Saturday March 29, 2003

David Fulmer, born on January 5, 1950, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2003. He was a resident of Rio Rancho, a US Marine, a member of the National Guard and an important supporter of the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta. When we opened our newspapers during the balloon fiesta, it was David's picture, all dressed up in his top hat and tails, that we saw directing the launch of the balloons. His spirit will continue to soar over our blue skies. His mother, Helen Fulmer; close family friend, Bob Steager; his brother, Wesley Fulmer; niece, Jayme Lytle; and nephew; Ryan Fulmer-Lytle survive him. Memorial Services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Friday, March 28, 2003 at Sunrise Funeral Home, 2400 Southern Blvd., Rio Rancho. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that you direct your memorials to the David Fulmer Memorial Fund at the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta, c/o Pat Brake, 4401 Alameda Blvd., Albuquerque, NM 87113. David wanted to fly in the sky with the balloons and his wish has come true.
