Maureen Grace Locher, 58, a long-time resident of Albuquerque passed away at her home on April 1, 2003. Maureen is survived by her loving parents Gerald and Mary Locher of Albuquerque; brothers, Bob Locher of Albuquerque, Dennis Locher, wife, Chris and their son, Travis of Rio Rancho, NM, Ron Locher and wife, Linda Scalise of Yuba City, CA; nieces, Catherine Locher of San Diego, CA, Christine Locher of Chico, CA, Carrie Boarder of Berkeley, CA; nephews, Brian Locher of Chico, CA, and Bobby Boarder of Yuba City, CA; and her long-time special friend and caregiver Bev Elkins. Maureen graduated from Manzano High School. Ms. Locher graduated from the University of Alaska Anchorage with a Bachelor of Arts in elementary education, while in Alaska Maureen worked on the Alaskan pipeline and the North Slope. Maureen was employed by Sandia Nat'l Labs. Private cremation has taken place and at Maureen's request no services will be held. If desired, donations in Maureen's memory can be made to one of the following organizations: The American Cancer Society, Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), or The Animal Humane Association of New Mexico.
