Marlene G. Stefanik, 82, and a resident of Albuquerque since 1977, passed away April 5, 2003. She was proud to have been a Registered Nurse for 50 years, working in all aspects of nursing, retiring in 2000. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She touched many lives with her love and wisdom. She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, George, who passed away in 1985 and three sisters. She is survived by her children, Tom and wife, Paulette of St. Charles, IL., Bruce and wife, Linda of Salem, OR., Sue Fisher and husband, Dave, and Barbara Mast and husband, Randy, of Edgewood, NM; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Fran Eyberse and husband, Hank; and her best friends, Jackie MacLoraine and Ann Weiskopf. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, April 7, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. at Sunrise Funeral Options, 7601 Wyoming Blvd, NE with her son, Bruce, officiating. Cremation will follow. Interment of cremated remains will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest with her husband.
